G. Irene Auldridge, 94, of McConnelsville, died on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 11:00 p.m. at the Riverside Country Care Center in McConnelsville. She was born on July 23, 1916 in Maywood Illinois to the late Thomas P. and Francis G. Leach Carroll. She worked as an in home companion and was a member of the Solomon Lutheran Church in Malta, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #4713 in Malta, Topps, Malconta Garden Club, Morgan County Historical Society, Howard Chandler Christy Art Guild and the Morgan County Senior Citizens. She is survived by one son Charles R. Oldfield of Los Osos, California. Two daughters, Charlene M. McCord and LaRaine C. Barton both of McConnelsville, two grandchildren, one step-grandchild and two nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Auldridge, one son John C. Oldfield, and one sister Francis Filer. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Solomon Lutheran Church in Malta with Pastor Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Solomon Cemetery. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the services at the church.
