Garnet C. Cottrell 87, of Stockport, passed away at 4 :30 a.m. Dec. 27, 2015 at Genesis Health Care in New Lexington. She was born July 28, 1928 in Walton, W.Va. the daughter of the late Lester Harper and Flora Robinson Harper. She is survived by a daughter Linda Abrams of Stockport, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren, a brother James Harper of Burnsville, W.Va. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Delbert Tharrel Cottrell who died Dec. 31, 1981, sister Anna Taylor and brothers Wayne, Lewis, Lawrence, Roy , and Clyde Harper. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville , where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Mike Wells officiating.
