Garnet Louise Petty, 84 of McConnelsville, died Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the Genesis Health and Rehab Center in McConnelsville. She was born on June 5, 1924 in Mineral Wells West Virginia to the late Howard H. and Glenna E. Fetty Myers. She was a Methodist by faith. She is survived by two brothers, Harold Myers of Tuson Arizonia, and Carl Myers of Cape Coarl Florida, two sisters, Vivian Smith and Delores Freeland both of Parkersburg, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Howard Myers, three sisters, Ines Boggess, Ruby Walton, and Gladys Lowery. Services will be Friday, May 29, 2009 at 2:00p.m. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville, Ohio. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
