Gary Franklin Bole, age 74, of Chesterhill, Ohio passed away at 1:11 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the V. A. Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born October 17, 1939 in Stockport, Ohio, a son of the late Chester and Mary White Bole. Gary served in the U. S. Marine Corps, retired from Oldsmobile in Lansing, Michigan as an assembly line worker, coached girls basketball and softball, and attended college for 4 years. Surviving are 2 daughters: Mary Pickering and Penny(George)Hunt both of Chesterhill; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 2 brothers: Jeff (Peggy) Bole of Pomeroy, Ohio and Larry (Jean) Bole of Farwell, Michigan. Other than his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Opal "Sue" Spicer Bole, and 2 brothers: Ed and Boyd Bole. Services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor Fred Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Stockport Cemetery with military honors provided by the Morgan County Veterans Ass. Friends may call on the family from 10-12 on the day of the funeral.
