Gary Ray Cain, 67, of McConnelsville, passed away on Sat. Dec. 19, 2020 at his residence.  He was born on April 20, 1953 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Sewell and Inez Scott Cain.  He worked in production for numerous oilfield company's and was a member of The River Family Christian Center in Waterford.  He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy Sydebotham Cain of the home, 3 daughters, Michele "Mikey" (Mike) Thomas of Zanesville, Heather (Jim) Thornton of McConnelsville and Kerri (Darion) Thompson of McConnelsville, 2 brothers, Steve and Mark Cain both of Reinersville, a sister, Peggy Feldner of Pleasant City, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Candy.  A service will be held on Tues, Dec. 22, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Pastor Deane Wagner officiating.  A visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. the day of the services.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com
