IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gary E.
Clark
August 17, 1936 – June 19, 2023
Gary E. Clark, 86 of Stockport, passed away Mon. June 19, 2023 at Highland Oaks. He was born Aug. 17, 1936 to the late Charles E. Clark and Myrtle (Hartman) Clark in Toledo, OH. He was always looking to find the best watering hole and place to hunt, and found happiness being in nature. He was an avid fisherman and hunter his whole life, winning multiple trophies for catching the most fish or the largest catch in Maumee, Ohio and other cities. By day he was a mechanic and could fix any car, even keeping a $200 car running for years for his daughter. This led into building and fixing just about anything. He was also very proud that he served his country in the Marine Corps. More recently, he found interest in creating art on slate pieces. His artwork hangs in the McConnelsville courthouse, and many of his friends and family's homes. He is survived by his daughters, Holly Shoemaker, Cheryl Clark-Cole, Vickie Naylor and Wanda Smith, brother, Duane Clark, and sister, Shirley Phalen, and 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dennis Clark and sister, Deanna Clark. Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling arrangements, and no services are to be held at this time.
