Gary Fluharty, 71, Of McConnelsville, Ohio died at his home on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 3:22 p.m.  He was born January 25, 1950 in Zanesville, Ohio, a son of the late Raymond and Alice (Scott) Fluharty.  He was in the retail business and owner of the Ashland/Marathon Station in McConnelsville.  He was veteran of the United States Army and a member of SEOHEA.  He is survived by his wife of 47 ½ years, Jane Greuey Fluharty of the home; two sons, Josh and Sara Fluharty of Cincinnati and Jason Fluharty of Stockport; six grandchildren Audrey, Grady, Sawyer, Rowan, Holden and Xander; four brothers, David, Randall, Mark and Austin Fluharty; and one sister Kim Dearinger.  Other than his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Greg and Fred Fluharty, and two sisters Nancy Reeder and Sharon Gray.  Services will be Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 1 pm at Matheney Funeral Home McConnelsville with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.  Military rights will be observed.  Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 pm.  To send a not of condolences to the family go to:  www.matheneyfh.com.
