Gary K. Williams, 80, of Chesterhill, passed away on Weds. Aug 14, 2019 at the Riverside Hospital in Columbus. He was born on Feb. 21, 1939 in Chesterhill to the late Fred R. and Mary L. Leake Williams. Gary graduated from Marion High School and attended Ohio University. Before starting his career he served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation in Columbus as an Office Supervisor and retired after 30 years. After retirement Gary moved back to Chesterhill and was very active in the Methodist Church where he played the piano, the organ and was the church treasurer. He is survived by 2 brothers, Raymond (Eileen) Williams of Nelsonville and Richard (Kathryn) Williams of Reynoldsville, 3 nephews, Brian and Brent Williams and Jeffery (Jennifer) Williams, a niece Betsy Williams, 3 great nephews, 3 great great nephews and a great niece. He is preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held on Friday, Aug. 23, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor Rick Seiter.
