John J.R., and Genevieve (Genny) Ann Pearson, of McConnelsville, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 160 S. Seventh Street. John Pearson- Born May 25, 1945, in Malta Township, Morgan County. Retired Craftsmen with Mock Woodworking Co, was a loving father and exceptional grandpa. They were preceded in death by his parents Louis and Merle (Head) Pearson, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters. Genny Burtnett Pearson- Born April 28, 1945, in Gaysport, Muskingum County. Retired machinist for United Technologies, was a loving mother and extra special grandma. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Florence (Gist) Burtnett, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. Genny is survived by brothers Robert (Diane) Burtnett of Mingo Junction, Max (Colleen) Burtnett of Adamsville and sister Kathy Barr of Cannelville. Both are survived by their son Gary Pearson of Newark, daughter Sherry (John) Henifin of The Colony, TX and grandchildren Isaac, Ian and Abby Henifin. John and Genny left this earth together and were welcomed into Heaven to be with their Lord and Savior with a definite "Job Well Done." John and Genny were active and dedicated members of their home church, Cornerstone South, where family and friends will come together to celebrate their lives. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations towards Cornerstone South Family Life Church. Calling Hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the memorial service beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday January 1st, 2023, at Cornerstone South Family Life Church 160 S. 5th St., McConnelsville, OH.
