George L. Snyder 87, of McConnelsville passed away at 6 :40 p.m. September 23, 2015 at the Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born November 13, 1927 in Zanesville the son of the late George Snyder and Katherine Ward Snyder. He was a retired Realtor and Insurance Agent. He worked for Summitville Tile Co. and was a graduate of Ohio University and attended the Malta United Methodist Church in Malta. He was a marine Veteran of WWII. He is survived by a step daughter Becky Maikranz Jarvis of McConnelsville, sons George H. Snyder of Lexington, Ky, Brandon Snyder of Sarasota, Florida, Cary Snyder and Jeanie Bennett of Orlando, Florida, and Kelly Snyder of Columbus, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Virginia M. Snyder who died March 29, 2014, step son Jack Maikranz and a brother Bill Snyder and a sister Kate Richardson. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Malta United Methodist Church . Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
