Gerald W. Beard, 82, of Chesterhill, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019 at his residence. He was born on June 2, 1937 in Glouster, Ohio to the late Ernest and Mary Mills Beard. He retired from the Morgan County Highway Dept after serving more than 30 years. He is survived by his Daughter, Carol (Jack) Welch of Chesterhill, 3 grandsons, Michael, Derek and Dustin and 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Florence J. Mosier Beard, a brother, Charles Beard and his sister Effie Dolan. Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill.
