Gilbert L. Fisher, 72, of Malta, Ohio, passed away on Sat. June 23, 2018 at 8:20 A.M. at the Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. Gib was born on June 30, 1945 to the late Harry and Thelma Mayle Fischer in Sharpsburg, Ohio. Gib served in the U.S. Army out of High School from 1962-1965. He retired in 2001 from the Muskingum River Ohio Power Plant in Beverly and the OLFBP Local. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Tina Fisher, 3 brothers, William Fischer, Kenneth Fischer and Dana Fischer and a sister, Dorla Fischer. Gib leaves behind to mourn his death his loving companion of 36 years Debbie Kennedy of the home, a daughter, Christina Fisher of Zanesville, a son, Jason (Sahra) Mayle of Grove City, 2 granddaughters, Kamira and Keyara Mayle of Grove City, 2 sisters, Wilma (Robert) Jenkins of Glouster and Darlene Fischer of Zanesville, a brother, Daryl Fisher of Malta, several nieces, nephews, freinds and his beloved dog Jack. Services will be held on Weds. June 27, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mt Hermon Church near Amesville. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Tues.
