McConnelsville Gladys M. Drake 80, of McConnelsville passed away at 11:35 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010 at the Highland Oaks Health Care in McConnelsville. She was born Feb. 22, 1930 in Plantsville to the late John Starling and Dora Ellis Starling. She is Survived by two daughters Peggy Heiss of McConnelsville and Rhonda M. Drake of McConnelsville; two step daughters Jean (Roy) Schoonover of Ontatio, California and Brenda Drake of England. Two sons Ted (Sally) Drake of Carroll and Douglas (Annette) Drake of Newark. Four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Two sisters Dorothy (Robert) Biedenbach of Beverly and Bessie Seevers of Marietta. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Milton S. Drake and one brother Frank Starling and one half brother Ray Ellis. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2010 at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010 with Jeff Shaner officiating.
