Obituary

Glenn Dayle McKee 80, of McConnelsville passed away at 10:10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville.

He was born August 16, 1932 in Sharon, OH, a son of the late William Dayle McKee and Zola E. Teeters McKee.

He was retired from Central Ohio Coal Co. and the State of Ohio. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in McConnelsville, was a Boy Scout leader and was a member of the Muskingum Valley Boy Scout Council. He was also a special Deputy for the Morgan County Sheriff's Office.

He was a member of the Clemente Amitie Masonic Lodge of Reinersville, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge. He was a Shriner for 50 years and a member of the Morgan Shrine Club.

He is survived his wife Barbara Lawrence McKee, two daughters, Kathryn Elaine (Larry) Whetzel of Blue Rock and Susan Renee Newton of Malta; one son, Steven Dayle McKee of Columbus; six grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; one sister, Shirley R. Butler of Duncan Falls; and two brothers, Rev. Wilbur McKee of Crooksville and Kenneth (Helen) McKee of Tuscon, AZ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Esther Williams; one sister-in- law, Shirley K. McKee; and a granddaughter, Lisa Dawn Newton.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at the Miler-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.

Masonic services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in McConnelsville Cemetery.
