Gordon E. Sheets, 64, of Bartlett, died on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. He was born on May 2, 1950 in Stockport, Ohio to the late Wayne and Mary Calendine Sheets. He worked as a laborer out of Union Hall #639 in Marietta spending most of the last few years at Kraton Polymers in Belpre. He liked to hunt and loved to watch Nascar. He is survived by his wife, Lynne Jones Sheets of the home, a step-son, Jedidiah Best of Bartlett, a step-daughter, Chelsea Clifton of Clovis, New Mexico, a brother, Gary Sheets of Stockport and a sister, Octava Roddy of Fleming. He is preceded in death by his parents. A caring cremation is taking place at Gordon's request and a memorial service will be held at a later date and time. Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill is handling the arrangements for the family.
