Grace J. " Patty " Croston, 96, of Chesterhill, Ohio passed away at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Riverside Landing Nursing Home in McConnelsville. She was born October 18, 1923 in Sharpsburg, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carl and Sarah Hill Mayle. She was a Housekeeper and worked for a time at Malta Windows.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Mona Ames of Athens, and 3 grandchildren, Brian, Shane, and Megan. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus "Bo" Croston, son Bob Croston, 3 brothers, Ernest, Willard, and Gilbert Mayle; 7 sisters, Thelma Fischer, Reathel Kennedy, Jessie Mayle, Dessie Mayle, Emma Mayle, Lucy Flowers, and Helen Goins; 1 son-in-law, Ralph Ames.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Hermon Cemetery with Pastor J.R. Walker officiating. Masks are recommended.
