Gregory Myron Bliss, 56, of McConnelsville, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville. He was born August 27, 1953 in Coshocton to the late Roger Myron and Dorothy Ann Roenbaugh Bliss. He was an operating engineer for Boca Construction in Norwalk and was a member of the F.O.E. # 2187 in McConnelsville, Sons of the American Legion #389 in Beverly, Operating Engineers Local #18 in Cleveland, Laborers Local #530 of Zanesville, and a long standing member of the NRA. He loved riding his Harley and going to the Bristol NASCAR races. He is survived by his wife Vicki Sheridan Bliss of the home, two sons, Joshua Myron (Susie) Bliss of Abingdon Va., ABH2 Jeremy Levi (Brittany) Bliss of the United States Navy, one daughter, Amanda Sue Bliss Aronhalt of Newcomerstown, four step-sons, Jim (Aundrea) Clemens of McConnelsville, Michael Clemens of Columbus, Matthew (Misti) Clemens of McConnelsville, and Joe (Terri) Clemens of Malta, one brother, Steve Bliss of Newcomerstown, two sisters, Linda South (Bill) Schwab of South Charleston, and Susie (Larry) Stein of Newcomerstown, 14 grandchildren, Jasmine, Hunter, Brynn, Kendal, Jackson, Caleb, Cara, Mackenzi, Eric, Chase, Malayni, Nicole, Austin, and Dylan, nieces, Sara Bliss-Sparks, Stevie Jo Bliss, Lori Stevens, and Jolinda Kistler, and nephews, David Elliott and Zeb South and his dog Smoke. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 5-7p.m. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville. A caring cremation will follow at Greg's request. In lieu of flowers make donations to the American Cancer Society.
