Gregory T. Woods, 61, of McConnelsville, passed away on Sun, Aug. 28, 2022 at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville.  He was born on July 20, 1961 in Athens to Steven Woods and Pauline Hanson Cannon.  He worked construction all over central Ohio.  He is survived by his mother, Pauline Cannon of Shalimar, Fl, 3 daughters, Ashley Woods of Athens, Kathryn Woods of The Plains and Andrea Woods of Athens, 2 brothers, Steven Woods Jr. of Carbondale and Thomas Woods of Athens, 4 sisters, Rebecca Yancey of Malta, Tracy Crabtree of Athens, Ann Woods of Athens and Chrystal Woods of Athens and 2 granddaughters.  He is preceded in death by his father.  A caring cremation is taking place by the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with a service to be held at a later date.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
