Grovner Lucas, 73, of Stewart, passed away Wed. Nov. 26, 2025 at O'Bleness Hospital in Athens, OH. He was born Sept. 9, 1952 to the late Leo and Hulda Mayle Lucas in Cutler, OH. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pam Walker Lucas of the home; son, Jesse Lucas of Marietta; daughter, LaToya Clark of Stewart; brother, Willie (Sharon) Lucas of Cutler; sisters, Patty Mayle of Amesville and Mary (Edward) Mayle of Columbus; 4 grandchildren, Kayla, Elijah, Jason, and Isaiah; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters, Doris Mastice, Lorena Norris, Hazel Lucas, and Venice Mayle; and brother, Jesse Lucas. Funeral service will be Tues. Dec. 2, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill. Friends may call on the family from 11-1 P.M. on the day of the service.
