Harley L. Cunningham, 85, of McConnelsville, passed away on Tues., Nov. 27, 2018 at the Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. He was born on Jan 11, 1933 in Stockport, Ohio to the late Nash and Goldie Thorniley Cunningham. He retired from the US Army after serving 35 years and served his country during the Korean Conflict. He also retired from Gould Corp. in McConnelsville. He attended the Calvary Baptist Church in McConnelsville and was a member of the American Legion Post #24 McConnelsville, VFW Post #4713 Malta and Retired Military Association. He loved being with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren and the Morgan Raiders, Buckeye's and the Browns. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Annabel Greer Cunningham of the home, a son, Rob (Mary) Cunningham of Malta, a daughter, Kathy "Kacy" (Robert Hall) Cunningham of McConnelsville, 2 brothers, Chet Cunningham of Stockport and Robert Cunningham of McConnelsville, 2 sisters, Shirley Calendine of Peru, IN and Georgia Sartor of Jefferson City, MO, granddaughters, Beth Tabler and Heather Cunningham, great grandchildren, Colton, Alyssa, Mariah, Dylan and Kylie, step granddaughter, Kerri Theiss, step great grandchildren, Urijah, Isaiah, Tesla, Emily and Jaden. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Wayne and Elmer Cunningham, a sister, Betty Bebout and a step grandson Jason Dulaney. Services will be held on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following at Wesley Chapel Cemetery with military honors. Friends may call on the family on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018 from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the M&M Vol. Fire Dept.
