Harley Lewis Davis, 84, of Stockport, died at 12:50 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville. He was born on Dec. 6, 1930, in Cambridge, to the late Howard T. and Gladys A. (Hess) Davis. He graduated from McConnelsville High School in 1948. He worked at Taylor Woodcraft and Graphite (Gould) and later was self-employed. He was a Presbyterian. He was in the Navy, serving 22 months in Japan during the Korean War. He enjoyed farming, hunting and reading most anything, especially books from Kate Love Library. He especially loved spending time with family and friends. Harley is survived by his wife, Alberta (Rios) Davis of 62 years; two daughters, Katherine (Chuck) Karaus of Lawrenceburg, Ind., and Patricia Boothe (Jim Patterson, fiance) of Longview, Wash.; four grandchildren, Andrea Stroud, April Davis, William (Rachael) Davis and Johnny Boothe; seven great-grandchildren, Josh and Reilly Stroud, Cohen and Aidan Hopkins, and Jefferson, Quintin and Maya Davis; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Losia Stout Davis; two sisters, Janet (Clarence) Raines and Vera (Richard) Martin; and two sons-in-law, Jeffrey Davis and John Boothe. Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, 11 a.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the Fairview Church Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mt.
