Harold E. Weaver, 86, of 1200 St. Rt. 377, Malta, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 6:10 p.m. at his home.
He was born April 13,1925 in Wirt County, WV, to the late John G. Weaver and Eura Whited Weaver. Harold was a retired meat cutter and was an Army veteran of W.W. II. He was awarded 3 bronze stars, 1 silver star and a purple heart while in the Army. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in McConnelsville, the V.F.W. Post #4713 of Malta, the American Legion Post #24 of McConnelsville and the Order Of The Purple Heart.
He is survived by a daughter, Cheryl (Jim) Miller of McConnelsville, three sons, Rodger (Daphne) Weaver of McConnelsville, Marvin (Lora) Weaver of Malta, and Philip Weaver of Malta, an adopted daughter, Tina Weaver of Malta; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a great great grandson; a sister, Frances Carpenter of Coshocton; a brother, Don Weaver of Matlacha, FL; three angels, Jeff and Charity Work and Jane Winstanley all of Malta.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Edna Irene Weaver; a sister, Earleen Traister; and three brothers, Junior, Ralph and Daryl Weaver; a grandson, Christopher Meadows.
At Harold's request no services will be held and a caring cremation will take place.
