Hazel A. Elliott, 86 of the Highland Oaks Health Center formerly of 43 N. 9th St. McConnelsville passed away Friday September 23,2011 at 6:15 a.m. at the nursing home. She was born August 4,1925 in Athens County to the late Ownie Brown and Ruth Wade Brown.

Hazel was a burr operator at Imperial Clevite Corp. in McConnelsville for 34 years. She was retired from McDonalds of McConnelsville where she had worked for 8 years. She was a member of the Neelysville Church Of Christ.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda (Jim) Krotkiewicz of Stockport; a son, Steve Baker of McConnelsville; a daughter-in-law, Becky Baker of Malta; four grandsons, Jon (Renee) Bell, Todd (Tresa) Bell, Trevor Baker, and Bart (Traci) Baker; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Dawson of Malta and Eileen Davis of McConnelsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband of 42 years Ernest Elliott, a sister Cora Roberts and a brother Harley Brown.

Calling hours will be Monday September 26,2011 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. A graveside service will be held Tuesday September 27,2011 at 11:00 a.m. at East Branch Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Shaner officiating.
