Obituary

Hazel Waneta Parsons, 89 of Malta, passed a way on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014 at the Riverside Landing Nursing Home in McConnelsville. She was born in Union Township near Malta on Jan. 19, 1925 to the late Waldo E. and Ena B. Burge Hale. She was a homemaker and a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville, Order of Eastern Star where she was a past Matron and the Morgan County Farm Bureau. She is survived by two daughters, Sandy Parsons of Lakewood Colorado and Phyllis (R.D.) Leeling of St. George, Utah, two, grandchildren, Mike (Julia) McDougall of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Mandy (Mat Granberg) McDougall of Wheat Ridge Colorado, one great granddaughter, Jasmine, two nephews that she raised as her own, Clarence (Pat) Parsons of Zanesville and Dick (Rita) Parsons of Dresden, one niece Kay Parsons of Dresden and special friends Don and Norma Copeland. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mike Parsons, one infant brother, one sister, Reva Hale and one nephew Vernon Parsons. Services will be held on Thurs., Oct. 23, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Evang. Vernon Eldridge officiating. Friends may call on the family on Weds., Oct 22, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
