Hazel Thompson Syphers, 100 of Pennsville, died on Sat. Jan. 11, 2014 at the Riverside Landing Nursing Home in McConnelsville. She was born on Sept. 15, 1913 in Pennsville to the late J. W. and Mary Thompson. She was a homemaker and helped her husband on the farm. She was a member of the Pennsville Church of Christ. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald E. Syphers, 2 sisters, Eva Cramblit and Doad Pierpoint and 1 brother Paul Thompson. Services will be held on Weds., Jan. 15, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Evang. Randy Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Pennsville Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Tues., Jan. 14, 2014 from 4-7 P.M.
