View a Video Memorial Helen Elaine Brush, 70, of Loudon, Tennessee, formerly of Malta, died on Sunday. March 30, 2014 at the Kobacker House Hospice in Columbus. She was born on Jan. 21, 1944 in Zanesville to the late Ruby Bateson Jones. She retired in 1997 from the Franklin County Engineers Office in Columbus. She attended the First Baptist Church in Tellico Village TN. She is survived by her husband, Gene Brush, 2 sons, Rocky Ferguson of Newport Richey, Fl., and Ryan Ferguson of Phoenix AR., 1 daughter, Shantelle Ferguson of Columbus, 1 step-son, John Brush of Arkansas, 1 step-daughter, Cindy Brush of Columbus, 1 brother, Bob Jones of Waynesville, 1 sister, Sue Gavin of Malta, 3 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother and 1 sister, Patty Mendenhall. Services will be held on Friday April 4, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Main Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville with Evang. Bob Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Malta Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Thursday, April 3, from 4-8 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
