Helen D. Loeffler, 86, of The Plains, passed away on Sat, April 29, 2023 at the Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Athens.  She was born on Aug. 22, 1936 in Chesterhill, Ohio to the late James Stobart Jr. and Ila Vorhies Stobart.  She worked for many years at the Goodyear Plant in Logan.  She is survived by her sister, Nancy Pettit of Glouster and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth Loeffler, 3 brothers, Arthur, Billy and Harold Stobart and 2 sisters, Mary Ann Pettit and Glenda Stobart.  Services will be held on Weds, May 3, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with burial following in the Chesterhill cemetery.  Friends may call on the family from 11-1:00 P.M. on the day of the services.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
