Helen (Mac) Murphey, 85, of McConnelsville, Ohio, died at 1:20 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2017, at Genesis Health Center in Zanesville. She was born in Floodwood, Ohio on September 26, 1931, the daughter of Walter Q. and Grace L. Bartlett Kovaleski. Helen was a home maker and attended the Full Gospel Ministry in McConnelsville. Surviving is one sister: Linda McAfee of Columbus, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delford Murphey and two brothers, John and Jack Kovaleski. Services will be held on Friday, January 6, at 11:00 a.m. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Pastor Sanford Short officiating. Burial will be in the McConnelsville Cemetery.
