Henry James Calhoun, 91, of 2850 E. SR 60, McConnelsville, died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at his home.

He was born Feb. 7, 1919, in East Liverpool, a son of the late Henry and Marie Darrow Calhoun.

Mr. Calhoun was a carpenter, an Army veteran of WW II, a member of Local No. 1590 Carpenters Union, and a life member of both the DAV and VFW.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Duffy Calhoun; one step-daughter, Sherry Newman of Columbus; one step-son, George Demtrenak Jr. of McConnelsville; five step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Richard Calhoun of Florida.

At his request, a caring cremation will take place.
