Irene E. Mills, 86 of Zanesville, died on Tues., Dec. 24, 2013 at her home. She was born on Dec. 31, 1926 in Coshocton County to the late Howard T. and Laura Smith Hartley. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband Charles in his ministry. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Zanesville. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Charles R. Mills of 2746 Maple Ave., Zanesville, 43701. Two brothers, Harold Hartley of Duncan Falls and Robert Hartley of Wooster, one sister, Pauline Garver of Wooster and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Cecil Hartley and five sisters, Evelyn Ilene Hartley, Marjorie Fouty, Lucille Greuey, Betty Gianotto and her twin sister, Jean Hickerson. Services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Pastor James Peters officiating. Burial will follow in the Pennsville Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 1-3 P.M. on Sunday, the day of the funeral.
