Irene V. House 85, of McConnelsville passed away at 12:35 a.m. March 7, 2017 at the Morrison House in Zanesville. She was born March 11, 1931 in Meigs County the daughter of the late Harley Pauley and Dessie Butcher  Pauley. She worked at Community Action and attended the Gaysport United Methodist Church in Gaysport. She is survived by  a son, Tim Stickrath of McConnelsville, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters,  Helen Martin  and Janice Patterson both of McConnelsville; brothers, Harlen Pauley of North Carolina and Larry Pauley of McConnelsville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by  her first husband, Warren O. Stickrath and her second husband  John D. House Sr; step children, John D. House Jr. and Mary A. Anderson; siblings, Robert, Ramona and Janet. At her request no calling hours will be observed, a graveside service will be held  at 11:00 a.m. Monday March 13, 2017 at the McConnelsville Cemetery with Pastor Galen Finley officiating. Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morgan Senior Center  in McConnelsville.
