McCONNELSVILLE - Iva Madeline Mayle, 75, of Ninth Street, McConnelsville, died at 2:20 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 21, 2009) at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta. She was born Sept. 14, 1933, in Chesterhill, Ohio, a daughter of Dayton Mayle and Pauline Smith Mayle. She was a cashier at Kroger Co. She graduated from Marion High School in Chesterhill. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Malta and Morgan County Senior Citizens and volunteered at the Mark Rest Center. She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey L. (Roxie) Mayle of Cutler, and Kivan (Renee) Honesty of Phoenix, Ariz.; special niece, Cynthia Engram of Columbus; raised two grandchildren as her own children, Ron Honesty and Sheila Fish; three brothers, Ronald, Wayne and Joseph Mayle, all of Columbus; two sisters, Margaret Walker of Columbus, and Sandra Burke of Zanesville; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Harley Honesty and Gillian Mayle; one daughter, Debra Darnall; one brother, Emmett Mayle; and one sister, Wilma Tabler. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 25, 2009) at Mount Hermon Church with Brother Roger Cummings officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hermon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 24) at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill and for one hour prior to the services at the church.
