Jack E. Riley, 87, of Malta, passed away on Fri, Nov. 11, 2022 at his residence.  He was born on March 25, 1935 in McConnelsville to the late Clyde and Mabel Steward Riley.  He worked for many years at Malta Manufacturing and then retired after 30 years as an inspector for Miba Bearings in McConnelsville.  He loved to spend his spare time in his work shop doing his woodworking.  He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Barbara Funk Riley of the home, 3 sons, Jack (April) Riley of Malta, Steven (Victoria) Riley of Lancaster and Doug (Rita) Riley of McConnelsville, a sister, Pat Bolyard of McConnelsville, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Riley and 2 sisters, Jane Sparks and Dorothy Moore.  A grave side service will be held on Mon, Nov. 14, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Zion Cemetery in Portersville.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
