James Lee Creighton, 75 of Chesterhill, died on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. He was born on November 9, 1939 in Barlow, Ohio to the late John E. and Pauline Anderson Creighton. He was graduate of Windsor High School in Stockport, received his Bachelors degree from Ohio University in Athens and his Masters degree from Marietta College. He was a retired school teacher working for many years at the Fort Frye Jr. High and High School in Beverly. He was a member and the clerk of the Chesterfield Friends Meeting in Chesterhill and was very active in the Windsor Alumni Association. He is survived by a brother, David (Lynn) Creighton of Stockport, a sister, Shelley Creighton and Steven Jacobs of Palm Desert, CA, two sister-in-laws, Susan Moody of Chesterhill and Thelma Creighton of Stockport, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John Michael Creighton and Patrick Paul Creighton and three nieces, Deirdre, Elizabeth and Pamela. Graveside services will me held on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at the Barlow Cemetery. There will be a Memorial Service held on June 20, 2015 at the Quaker Meeting House in Chesterhill. The Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill is handling the arrangements.
