James D. Hallowell, 62, of McConnelsville passed away at 8:48 a.m., Friday, Nov. 29, at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.

Hallowell was born August 26, 1951 in McConnelsville. James was a handyman and a musician.

He is survived by his father, Glenn Hallowell of Zanesville; two daughters, Heidi (Craig) Perkins of Lancaster and Lindsey Hallowell of Cincinnati; three brothers, Tim Hallowell of McConnelsville, Jerry Hallowell of Athens and Richard Sigler of Cadiz; two sisters, Jane Offenberger of Beverly and Elaine Dunn of Greenville, KY; and a granddaughter, Emily Perkins.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Parsons Hallowell.

Calling hours will be held from 5-7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 2, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where funeral services will be held at 7 p.m.
