James Oled "Olan" Hill, 85, of Chesterhill, died on Mon. March 17, 2014 at the Riverside Landing Nursing Home in McConnelsville. He was born on Nov. 16, 1928 in Chesterhill to the late Jimmy and Etta "Minnie" Mayle Hill. He worked as a truck driver for Merchants Five Star in Marietta and worked on the farm. He attended the Church of God. He is survived by 3 sons, Lee Hill of Malta, Eric Hill of Chesterhill and Calvin Hill of Heath, 3 daughters, LaDyne Mayle of Columbus, Kay Hatzer of Worthington and Sue Hill of Chesterhill, 1 sister, Mary Mayle of Chesterhill, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Juanita June Hill, 6 brothers, Ezra, Harley, Holbert, Lew, Harold and Calvin, 3 sisters, Elsie, Clara and Alma. Services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor Charles Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery near Amesville. Friends may call on the family on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
