James C. Kennedy Jr., 53, of Chesterhill, passed away Wed. Sept. 20, 2023 at his residence. He was born Jan. 14, 1970 to the late James Kennedy Sr. and Shirley Tackett in Columbus, OH. He was a detailer for the Greyhound Bus Service.  He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Ruth (Goins) Kennedy of the home, a daughter, Jessica Kennedy of Columbus, a brother, Jason Mayle of Columbus, 2 stepsons, Clint Goins of Amesville and Jesse Mayle of Vincent, stepbrother,  Barney Mayle of Bartlett, 2 stepsisters, Joann Mayle of Amesville and Elizabeth May of Columbus, and 8 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Yolanda Shaw, stepbrother, Luther Mayle and stepsister, Loretta Stacy. Services will be Sat. Sept. 23, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. at the Mt. Hermon Church in Amesville with burial following in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. on the day of services.
