James J. Konkler, 80, of Norwich, passed away on Fri, Nov. 14, 2025 at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home.  He was born on Jan 5, 1945 in Columbus to the late Charels and Everetta Agnes McCain Konkler.  He worked for 19 years at Taylor Woodcraft in Malta and then retired from Mid-State Trucking as an over the road truck driver.  He was a member of the 7th day Adventist Church and a charter member of the Stockport EMS and Fire Dept.   He is survived by 2 sons, Mike Konkler of Stockport and Tim Waytt of Zanesville, a step-son, Joe Williams of Malta, 2 daughters, Misty Perrine of Zanesville and Jennifer Konkler of McConnelsville, 2 step-daughters, Jamie Matthews of McConnelsville and Ressie Williams of South Zanesville, 4 sisters, Irene Maxwell of Beverly, Judy Pollock of Lowell, Blanch Miller of Vincent and Alice Misel of Beverly, 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Beverly Blackburn Konkler, 2 sons, David Konkler and Brian Waytt, 2 half-brothers, Angelo and Roger Capaccial and 2 sisters, JoAnn Doty and Mary Servon.  Services will be held on Mon, Nov. 17, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville.  Friends may call on the family from 11-1 on the day of the services.
