James Brent Mendenhall, 72, of Malta, son of James and Vera (Michener) Mendenhall passed away at his home on July 28, 2019. He is survived by his daughter Jill (Don) Oliver of McConnelsville and his son Jeremy (Amy) Mendenhall of Albany. His grandchildren, Amber and Ian Welch, Kristen and Rob Miller, Drew Mendenhall, Kacy (Levi Barkhurst) Oliver as well as four great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Berl (Jane) Mendenhall and Russell (Kathie) Mendenhall. He was stationed in Germany in 1966 serving in the U.S. Army. He retired from Columbia Gas of Ohio after 28 years as a welder. He then worked abroad for several years as a welder and pipeline inspector.
