James E. Parkinson, 89, of Malta, passed away on Weds, Feb. 21, 2024 at his residence.  He was born on Dec. 16, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Warren and Lucille Gibson Parkinson.  He worked for many years as an estimator for Lazarus in Columbus and retired from Miba Corp. in McConnelsville.  He is a member of the Cornerstone South Church in McConnelsville.  He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Doris Duta Parkinson of the home.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ron Parkinson.  Matheney Funeral home in McConnelsville is handling a caring cremation at his request.
