James "Jamie" Paxton, Jr., 49, of Stockport passed away August 11, 2026 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland. He was born October 20, 1976 in Marietta a son of the late, James Paxton, Sr. and Marjorie Young Paxton. He was a 1995 graduate of Morgan High School and worked at Miba Bearings for over 20 years. Jamie loved being a grandpa and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by two daughters, Maggie Paxton of Lowell and Grace Bailey of Parkersburg; a son, Jarrett Paxton of Stockport; two grandchildren, Hunter Bailey and Saylor Weber; three sisters, Kim Griffith of Kimbolton, Jennifer Phillips of Stockport, and Betsy Miller of Waterford. Friends and family may call Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 2-4 p.m., at Miller-Huck Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., with Steve Hanson officiating and Jamie will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
