James E. Ratliff, 78, of Stockport, passed away on Fri, Oct. 4, 2024 at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville, He was born on Aug. 23, 1946 in Grundy, Virginia to the late Lawson and Lou Amy Stiltner Ratliff.  He was a member of the U.S. Army and was an auto mechanic by trade.  He is survived by a son, Kylann Ratliff of Stockport, 5 daughters, Tammy Zeigler of Stockport, Kristina Kidd of McConnelsville, Star Ratliff of Stockport, Brandi Ratliff of Malta and Julie Seibel of McConnelsville, a sister, Carol Hutchinson of Grundy, Virginia and several grand and great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Kyle, 2 brothers, Lonnie and Jessie, 4 sisters, Dorothy, Stella, Lydia and Gay and a great granddaughter, Noel.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling a caring cremation for the family.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
