James W. Rollyson 84, of Malta, passed away at 12:46 a.m. December 23, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born December 10, 1934 in Braxton Co, W. Va. the son of the late Oley Rollyson and Nancy Fox Rollyson. He was a farmer, worked for Deerfield Township, member of the Deerfield Presbyterian Church and served in the National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Pearl Claypool Rollyson; step sons, Sherman Butch Claypool of Malta and Kopas Ogletree of Georgia; several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren; one niece, Arlene Wilson of Kent, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ellen Claypool Rollyson; sisters, Louise, Bernice, Bertha and Odessa. Friends may call 11:00 a.m. to 1:00p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018  at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Barbara Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery near Malta.
