James F. Rush, 84, of Naples, FL, formerly of McConnelsville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011 at the Avow Hospice in Naples, FL.

He was born November 21,1926 in Waldow, OH, to the late Franklin M. and Laura Alice Heisler Rush.

He was retired from the Big Bear Supermarket chain where he had worked as a meat department manager. He was an Army veteran and was a former member of the Malta-McConnelsville Rotary Club.

He is survived by three daughters, Nancy (Ray) Funk of Carey, OH, Sarah Rush of Blue Rock, OH, and Laura Rush (Tom Rosol) of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Ritchey of Columbus; and a brother, Ken (Shirley) Rush of Walsenburg, CO.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Michel Rush; and a sister, Glenna Brake.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m. at Pisgah Cemetery near McConnelsville, with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.

Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is in charge of the arrangements.
