James E. Rutter, 68, of McConnelsville, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville.  He was born on Feb. 22, 1952 in Zanesville to the late James Rutter Sr. and Virginia Stiers Myers.  He is survived by 3 sons, Jake Rutter of McConnelsville, Jimmy (Heather) Rutter of McConnelsville and Jason (Lucy) Rutter of Stockport, a daughter, Tammy Rutter of Massachusetts's, a sister, Virginia "Sug" Myers of Zanesville and several grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents.  A caring cremation is taking place at his request.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
