Janet M. Hook, 62 of Zanesville, formerly of McConnelsville, passed away on Mon, Dec. 20, 2021 at the Genesis Hospital.  She was born on Feb. 11, 1959 in Zanesville to the late Charles and Helen Cash Arick.  She retired from the Genesis Hospital where she worked as a nurse.  She is survived by her fiancée, Randy Butcher of the home, a son, Frank Hook Jr. of Zanesville, a daughter, Alicia Hook of Zanesville, 2 brothers, Bob Arick of McConnelsville and John Arick of W.Va. a sister, Hazel Duderstadt of New Mexico and 5 grandchildren, Brianna, Joel, Wyatt, Miley and Shawne.  She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Robin Arick.  A caring cremation is taking place at her request.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
