Janet Louise Ponchak, 66, of Stockport, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at 11:45 A.M. at her residence. She was born on July 18, 1944 in McConnelsville, to Chester F. and Bernice Newsom Johnson. She worked as a bartender at the Beverly Eagles and also as an aid at the Mark Rest Center in McConnelsville. She attended the Grace United Methodist Church in McConnelsville and was a member of the Eagles #2187 in McConnelsville. She is survived by her mother, Bernice Newsom Johnson of McConnelsville, a fiancé Delmar Hutchins of Stockport, one daughter, Cindy M. Fisher of McConnelsville, two brothers, Jerry Johnson of McConnelsville, and Larry Johnson of Stockport, five grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, one son John W. Gavin, and one daughter, Angela Gay Hart. Services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
