Janice K. Harper, 88, of McConnelsville, passed away on Weds, July 19, 2023 at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville.  She was born on Jan. 5, 1935 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late William and Jean Ann Cross Creager.  She worked in many different positions with in the Morgan Local School District, retiring from the central office.  She was a member of the Malta United Methodist Church where she was the Choir Director and a member of the OCCL Mothers Club, United Methodist Women and love to volunteer at the Jesus Loves Me Thrift Shop.  She is survived by her husband of 70 years Russell L. Harper of the home, a son, Greg (Jackie) Harper of Ft. Worth, Tx, a daughter, Cheryl (Randy) Bailey of McConnelsville, a brother, William (Shirley) Creager Jr. of Washington Court House, a sister, Jean Ann (Mike) Coffey of Blue Ash and a granddaughter, Devon Harper.  She is preceded in death by her parents, a son Jeff and an infant brother, Charles.  Services will be held on Fri, July 21, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Malta United Methodist Church.  Friends may call on the family from 11-1:00 on the day of the services.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriver's Hospice Foundation.  To send a note of condolence go to www.matheneyfh.com.
