Janice Y. Smith, 84, of Dresden, formerly of McConnelsville passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at her home while under the care of Shrivers Hospice. She was born September 27, 1937 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Dennis Alvie Locke and Lenore Wilson Locke. Janice was a homemaker and attended the Meigs Church of Christ. She enjoyed collecting Fenton glass ware and oil lights. Janice is survived by three daughters, Marilyn Pritt of Heath, Lisa (Jeff) Duncan of McConnelsville, and Yvonne Smith of Dresden; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Smith; a brother, Gene Locke; and an infant sister. Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 11 am - 1 pm  at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville.  A graveside service will be held at 1 pm  Tuesday at  Malta Cemetery.
