Jay L. Wilson 79, of 5477 Deerfield Church Rd. Malta, passed away at 10:10 p.m. November 5, 2012 at his home. He was born January 13, 1933 in Belfont, West Virginia the son of the late Ivan Wilson and Gertude Miller Wilson. He was a farmer and owned Deerfield Tractor Sales in Malta. He attended the Church of The Nazarene in McConnelsville and was a member of the Morgan County Farm Bureau and an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife whom he married December 31, 1962 Barbara Bankes Wilson; one daughter Carmen Wilson of Durham, North Carolina; two sons Lewis (Toni) Wilson of Malta and Bryan Wilson of Stow, Ohio; six grandchildren , two step grandchildren and two great grandchildren;one sister Janice McConkey of Malta ; four brothers Bern Wilson, Jerry Wilson , Brooks Wilson and James Bailey Wilson all of Malta. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Eugie Mitchell. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Church Of The Nazarene in McConnelsville with Dale Campbell and Harold Harness officiating.
